Pirates Reassign Stevenson to Gwinnett

Saco, ME - The Portland Pirates today announced that they have reassigned forward Dyson Stevenson to their ECHL affiliate, the Gwinnett Gladiators.

Stevenson, a 6-foot, 185 pound right wing from Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, was recalled from Gwinnett on December 13. While with Portland, Stevenson played in two games and collected two penalty minutes.

The 21 year-old played 19 games with Gwinnett earlier this season, scoring three goals, four assists, and seven points, while totaling 37 penalty minutes. Stevenson signed a two-way AHL/ECHL Contract with Portland this summer after playing four seasons in the WHL with the Regina Pats. He also played in four ECHL games at the end of last season with the Bakersfield Condors.

Stevenson will rejoin the Gladiators in time for their home game tonight against the Wheeling Nailers.
