
Dunkin' Donuts and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Team up to Benefit Regional Food Bank

SCRANTON, Pa. (Dec. 29, 2014) - Dunkin' Donuts of Northeastern Pennsylvania has teamed up with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to support the CEO Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank. Through the "Goals for Coffee" program, Dunkin' Donuts will be donating five pounds of coffee to the food bank for each goal the Penguins score on home ice this season.
"Dunkin' Donuts of Northeastern Pennsylvania is proud to partner with our hometown Penguins to help such a deserving organization," said Jessica Weissman, Dunkin' Donuts Field Marketing Manager for the Central Atlantic Region. "This season, every time our home team scores, our entire community scores. The CEO Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank has done so much for our community, and we're humbled to give back with donations such as this."
The "Goals for Coffee" program runs throughout the 2014-2015 regular season. As of Dec. 29, the Penguins have netted 46 goals on home ice, earning the food bank 230 pounds of coffee.
The CEO Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank distributes products to charitable organizations throughout Luzerne, Lackawanna, Susquehanna and Wyoming counties in Northeast Pennsylvania.
