This week:
The Wolf Pack celebrate the turn of the calendar year with three games this week, two at home. On Wednesday night, New Year's Eve, the Pack will be in Portland for a rematch of this past Saturday's game with the Pirates. Faceoff is 7:00 PM. Then the St. John's IceCaps invade the XL Center for back-to-back games Friday and Saturday. Both of those contests are also 7:00 starts.
Wednesday, December 31 at the Portland Pirates (Cross Insurance Arena), 5:30 PM
- This is the third meeting of the year between the Wolf Pack and the Pirates, and the Pack's first visit to the newly-renovated Cross Insurance Arena, formerly known as the Cumberland County Civic Center. The Wolf Pack swept the two games between the two clubs in Hartford, 2-1 on October 18 and 3-1 this past Saturday.
- Portland recovered from Saturday's loss to the Wolf Pack by shutting out the Eastern Conference-leading Manchester Monarchs Sunday in Manchester, 3-0. That was only the second win in the last nine games (2-6-1-0) for the Pirates (16-15-1-0, 33 pts.), who are tied with Providence for second place in the Atlantic Division.
- Veteran goaltender Mike McKenna rang up his second shutout of the season in Sunday's win in Manchester, with 37 saves. That was McKenna's eighth straight start in the Portland net and his 16th in the last 17 games.
- Broadcast - live with Bob Crawford on-line at www.979espn.com and on iHeartRadio. Video streaming at www.ahllive.com.
Friday, January 2 vs. the St. John's IceCaps at the XL Center, 7:00 PM
- The Wolf Pack will be holding a winter clothing drive at this game. Any fan who donates a winter hat, jacket or scarf will receive a voucher for a complimentary ticket to any remaining Wolf Pack 2014-15 home game.
- At this and all Friday-night Wolf Pack home games, fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $2 beers at the XL Center, through the start of the second period.
- Also at Friday-night home games this year, "Hawk's Nest" will be featured in the XL Center's Comcast Coliseum Club, with Bob "Hawk" Crawford, the play-by-play voice of the Wolf Pack, conducting a Wolf Pack-themed interview from 6:00-6:20 PM. Wolf Pack assistant coach/assistant general manager Pat Boller will be this week's guest, and questions and comments will be welcomed from the patrons enjoying the Comcast Coliseum Club's wide array of dining and beverage options. The Comcast Coliseum Club restaurant and bar area is open two hours prior to every Wolf Pack home game, to everyone holding a ticket to the game.
- After a trip to the Calder Cup Finals last spring, the IceCaps are 12-15-5-1 for 30 points thus far this season. That is good for fourth place in the Atlantic Division.
- This is the first of four meetings on the year between the Wolf Pack and IceCaps, and St. John's' first of two games at the XL Center. The Wolf Pack were 1-3-0-0 in a four-game season series last year, and lost both games against the IceCaps at home, where they are 0-5-0-1 in the all-time series between the two clubs.
- IceCap winger Chase Balisy is tied for sixth among AHL rookies in points, with 7-13-20 in 29 games.
- For this and all Wolf Pack home games, tickets start as low as $12 for youth 12 years old or younger and are available at the XL Center ticket office, on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com and by phone at (877) 522-8499.

Saturday, January 3 vs. the St. John's IceCaps at the XL Center, 7:00 PM
- The first 2,000 fans into this game will receive a free 2015 Wolf Pack calendar, presented by LAZ Parking.
- This is "Sonar Saves" Pet Adoption Night. Fans can meet several of Sonar's cuddly canine friends, who are in need of a loving home with a caring family.
- First-year St. John's goaltender Connor Hellebuyck comes into the week with the second-most saves in the AHL (657).
- This is the last of seven straight road games for the IceCaps, who are 6-10-1-1 on the road for the year.
