San Antonio Rampage News Release
Rampage Update: The Rampage enter this week five points behind Cincinnati for the fifth and final playoff spot, while having three games in hand over the Mighty Ducks. The Rampage ended the week on a great note with a 2-0 shutout over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Sunday. Kamil Piros and Brent Cullaton scored to help the Rampage snap a five-game winless streak and Travis Scott made 39 saves for his second shutout this month and his fourth on the season. The Rampage lost the home-and-home series against Houston with a 3-0 shutout on Friday at the SBC Center followed by a 4-2 decision on Saturday which the Aeros (defending AHL Calder Cup Champions) overcame a two-goal deficit from Ryan Jardine and Michel Periard. Last Tuesday, the Rampage lost 5-1 against West Division-leading Milwaukee. Petr Taticek scored the lone goal with 2:33 remaining in the second period.
