TEAM NOTEs

Center Michael Cammalleri's hat trick against the Norfolk Admirals on March 26 was his first as a professional. The second-year pro tied a season high with three points in the game (3-0-=3). Cammalleri also notched three points (2-1=3) against the Portland Pirates on November 8.

Cammalleri scored his four goals last week on just seven shots. He was credited with the game-winning goal on March 26 versus the Admirals, his fifth of the season. He added his fourth power play goal of the season on March 27 versus the Hershey Bears.

Cammalleri enters this week's action riding a five-game scoring streak, his longest of the season. He has eight points (5-3=8) and a plus-7 plus/minus rating during the streak.

Including last season's totals, Cammalleri has 51 points (22-29=51) in 47 career regular season games with the Monarchs. He also has 23 points (14-9=23) in 59 career regular season games with the Los Angeles Kings.

Adam Hauser became just the second Monarchs goaltender to record 20 wins in a season with his win in relief against the Admirals on March 26. Hauser stopped all 19 shots he faced after entering the game at the start of the second period. The team record for goaltending wins in a season is 23, set by former Monarch Travis Scott during the 2002-03 season. Scott also recorded 21 wins during the 2001-02 season.

Hauser has earned a win in each of his last seven appearances. He last suffered a regulation loss on February 15th, losing to the Providence Bruins by a score of 3-1. The Monarchs have a record of 9-0-2-2 in Hauser's last 13 appearances.

Hauser is the Monarchs career leader in goals-against-average (1.85) and save-percentage (.930).

Hauser set a team record with his seventh shutout of the season, earned with the Monarchs 3-0 win over the Bears on March 27. With the shutout, he surpassed Scott's record of six shutouts in a season, set during the 2001-02 season.

Scott is the Monarchs career record holder with nine shutouts collected over two seasons (2001-03).

Including Hauser's shutout, the Monarchs have a total of 12 shutouts this season. The previous team record for shutouts in a season was seven, set during the 2001-02 campaign.

Right wing Pavel Rosa became just the second player to surpass the 60-goal plateau in his Monarchs career with a pair of goals against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on March 24. He has 62 Monarchs goals over the last two seasons. Only former left wing Eric Healey has more career Monarchs goals than Rosa. Healey collected 66 goals for the Monarchs from 2001-03.

Rosa needs eight goals to match Healey's single season record of 42 goals in a season, set last year. Rosa has 34 goals with seven games remaining in the 2003-04 regular season. His 34 goals ranks second in the league to the 37 collected by Bridgeport Sound Tigers right wing Jeff Hamilton's 37.

The Monarchs have the AHL's leading scorer in Rosa (34-45=79), the league's leading rookie scorer in left wing Noah Clarke (25-25=50) and the league's top blue line scorer in Bryan Muir (12-36=48).

Kelly collected his 300th professional assist against the Bears on March 27. In 468 professional games over eight seasons, Kelly has 95 goals, 205 assists and 300 points. In 292 career AHL games, Kelly has 79 goals, 184 assists and 263 points.

Kelly ranks first all-time on the Monarchs with 111 assists and 158 points. Rosa ranks second on both lists with 80 assists and 142 points.

The Monarchs clinched a third consecutive Calder Cup playoff berth with a 3-0 win over the Bears on March 27. They need just two more wins to equal the franchise record for wins in a season. The Monarchs set the record with 40 wins last year.

With seven games remaining on the schedule, the Monarchs are just 10 points away from equaling the franchise record for points in a season. The Monarchs established the current record of 97 points during the 2002-03 season.

The Monarchs can tie the team record for home wins in a season when they host the Sound Tigers at the Verizon Wireless Arena on April 2. The Monarchs established the record with 23 home wins last year.
