The Vancouver Canucks today announced they have recalled defenceman Nolan Baumgartner (BAWM-gahrt-nuhr) and forward Jason King from the Manitoba Moose.

Baumgartner has played in 55 games with the Moose this season, scoring six goals and adding 21 assists for 27 points to rank second in team scoring among defencemen. He also has 101 penalty minutes. Baumgartner this season tied a Moose season-high six-game scoring streak from Jan. 24 to Feb. 7 with two goals and eight assists for ten points during that stretch.

This season, the 27-year old has played in nine games with the Canucks, registering three assists. He also played five games with the Pittsburgh Penguins earlier in the year and collected one point. This is Baumgartner's second recall to the Canucks this season.

King, 22, has played in 29 games with the Moose this season and scored 12 goals and 23 points to go along with only six penalty minutes. King was named NHL Rookie of the Month for November, where he registered eight goals and 11 points, including points in 10 of 14 games.
