San Antonio loses to Milwaukee

SAN ANTONIO - The Rampage picked up back-to-back power-play goals to bring the score within one but the Milwaukee Admirals kept the Rampage at bay to tally a 4-3 win at the AT&T Center Saturday night. Scott Stirling had 43 saves as the Rampage were outshot 47-26.

The Admirals ran up the score early taking a 3-0 lead in the opening period. Sheldon Brookbank registered the only Milwaukee power-play goal at the 5:24 mark before Chris Durno and Darren Haydar each collected a goal of their own before the end of the period. Milwaukee ended the Rampage's perfect penalty kill streak at 20.

Haydar scored his second goal of the game at the 12:56 mark in the second period to extend the Admirals lead to 4-0.

Rampage defenseman David Cornacchia ended Brian Finley's possible shutout with his third goal of the season as Pavel Brendl and Pascal Rheaume were credited with the assists.

The Rampage have scored most of their goals in the closing period as Yanick Lehoux and Brendl collected back-to-back power-play goals. Steve Gainey and Layne Ulmer helped Lehoux register his 17th goal as Brad Tiley and Lehoux helped Brendl also tally his 17th goal of the season.

The Rampage take a short trip to the Toyota Center for their final match up with their Texas rival Houston Aeros for a Sunday matinee at 5:05 p.m.
