LANGLEY, BC - The Prince George Cougars (4-5-0-0) got back in the win column with a 5-1 victory over the Vancouver Giants on Friday night at the Langley Events Centre.

A few minutes later, on a Prince George power-play, Ethan Samson whistled a wrist shot glove side on Brett Mirwald to make it 2-0 Cougars. Just over four minutes later, Koehn Ziemmer was able to add to the lead, scoring his team leading sixth of the season.
The Cougars got two massive stops from Tyler Brennan early in the second period to keep the game at 3-0 in favor of the Cougars. Carlin Dezainde registered his first of the season, with a screaming wrist shot past the glove side of Mirwald to make it 4-0.
In the third, Samson was able to add to the lead, scoring his second of the night on the power-play to make it 5-0. The Giants were able to get one back, but it was too little too late as the Cougars cruised to a 5-1 victory.
