YARD GOATS PREVAIL IN BARN BURNER: Hartford outslugged Binghamton, 9-7, Tuesday night at Dunkin Donuts Park in a contest that featured 16 combined runs on 24 combined hits. Despite the Rumble Ponies five-run fifth inning, the Yard Goats collected tallies in four different frames to emerge with the middle-game victory.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Mickey Jannis makes his fourth Eastern League start of the season and first against Hartford. Jannis has won all three Binghamton starts in 2018, after a pair of losses in Las Vegas (AAA) to began the campaign. Wednesday morning's start is Jannis' 50th with Binghamton, 9th most in franchise history.

URENA EN FUEGO: Jhoan Urena finished Tuesday night 3-for-4 with 3 RBI, stretching his hitting streak to five games. The outfielder is 5-for-8 with a HR and 5 RBI in the first two games at Dunkin Donuts Park.

GOOD MORNING EASTERN LEAGUE: Binghamton and Hartford are one two of eight teams slated to play ball before noon on Wednesday. Bowie-Altoona and Trenton-Reading get going at 10:30 AM, while Harrisburg-Erie are scheduled for a 11:05 AM first pitch.

TICK TICK TICK: Tuesday was the longest game of the 2018 season at three hours and nine minutes. Meanwhile, the fastest game of the season was on April 19 at New Hampshire (two hours).

STREAK IS OVER-STE: Matt Oberste had his season-best hitting streak snapped at nine games, going 0-for-4 on Tuesday night. During the stretch he went 12-for-37, with five RBI and six walks. Peter Alonso owns the longest Rumble Ponies hitting streak this season (11 games).

BIG MAC: Jeff McNeil picked up one hit in five at-bats on Tuesday, stretching his hitting streak to a season-best seven games. After a three-hit night in Akron on April 30, McNeil has garnered one hit in each of the last six games. The infielder currently ranks 4th in Eastern League slugging percentage (.614) and 4th in runs scored (22).

HITS DO LIE: Binghamton racked up a season-best 13 hits in Tuesday's loss. The Rumble Ponies had collected 12 hits on three different occasions this season, winning two of the three.

SHOW ME SOME GLOVE: The Rumble Ponies have committed just two errors of the last seven games and four over the last 12. Even so, Binghamton is

(3-4) over their last seven games and 7-5 over the last 12 games. Binghamton ranks 5th in Eastern League fielding percentage, having made 22 errors.

UP NEXT: The Rumble Ponies head to Portland to play five games over the next four days. This series kicks off Thursday evening with a doubleheader at Hadlock Field. First pitch of game one is slated for 5:00 PM.
