BILOXI, MS - The Reading Royals defeated the Mississippi Sea Wolves by a score of 5-2 as the Sea Wolves played their first home game since April 8, 2005 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in front of a crowd of 6,714.

Mississippi got on the board first just 3:03 into the game when Chris Cava hammered home the rebound of a shot from Mark Hurtubise to give the Sea Wolves a 1-0 lead.

Reading evened the score at one-apiece when Drew Bagnall's point shot beat Sea Wolves goaltender Morgan Cey at the 15:06 mark of the first period.

The Royals controlled play in the second period, with Charlie Kronschnabel giving Reading the lead with a power play goal at 10:42 of the second period, and Malcolm MacMillan scoring on a breakaway at 17:27.

Ned Lukacevic borked down the left wing and beat Morgan Cey high to the stick side just 27 seconds into the third period to give Reading a 4-1 lead. Mark Rooneem cut the lead to two when he fired a one-timer past Royals goaltender Jon Quick at 18:11 of the third period, but with Morgan Cey on the bench in favor of an extra attacker, Reading's Kevin Saurette fired into the empty net to ice the Royals' 5-2 win.
