Royals Sign Forward Brett Gallant

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that the team has signed forward Brett Gallant ["GAH lant"] to an ECHL contract. Gallant (6'0/191) (22), who hails from Summerside, Prince Edward Island, played thirteen games for the Elmira Jackals earlier this season, registering eighty penalty minutes. Last season, Gallant led all first year pros in the ECHL with twenty-one major penalties and 185 total penalty minutes in 38 games with the Jackals.

Reading travels to Toledo, Ohio on Fridayanuary 7 @ 7:00) to take on the Toledo Walleye at Huntington Center. The Royals game night broadcast will kick off with the pre-game warm-up show presented by The Works at Wyomissing on the Royals Broadcast Network (WRAW 1340 am in Reading, www.1340wraw.com) at 6:30 pm.
