
Gladiators Sign Milo and Lucyk

The Gwinnett Gladiators have signed forward Justin Milo and defenseman Luke Lucyk.
Milo was claimed off of waivers from the South Carolina Stingrays. The forward has appeared in 12 games with the Stingrays this season and has earned four points (two goals, two assists) this season. He also had one assist in two games with the Alaska Aces this season.
Milo attended the Gladiators training camp this year. He played at the University of Vermont over the past two seasons. He began his collegiate career with Cornell University during the 2006-07 season before he transferred to Vermont. He averaged over a point a game last season with Vermont and earned 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) in 20 games.
The Edina, Minnesota, native recorded 51 points (24 goals, 27 assists) in 83 career collegiate games from 2006-20010 with Vermont and Cornell.
Lucyk joins the Gladiators from the Augusta RiverHawks of the Southern Professional Hockey League. He has earned 20 points (four goals, 16 assists) in 27 games this season with SPHL Augusta.
The Fox Point, Wisconsin native split time last season with Johnstown, Trenton as well as Texas of the Central Hockey League. Lucyk recorded two assists in 25 games in the ECHL last year and was scoreless in nine games in the CHL.
Lucyk began his professional career in 2008-09 as he skated in two games with the Charlotte Checkers after he completed his senior season at Notre Dame. With the Fighting Irish, Lucyk earned 2 assists in 38 games in the 2008-09 season.
The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
