Wichita, Kansas - The Allen Americans ended their two-game skid on Sunday night with a 3-2 overtime victory over the Wichita Thunder, as the Americans won the first on a four-game road trip.

Eric Roy, scored two goals for the Americans including the game winner with one minute and twenty seven seconds left in the extra session. Roy gave the Americans a 2-0 lead in the second period with a power play goal for his seventh of the season and then scored the biggest goal of his young career to win it at the 3:33 mark of overtime.

"I was just trying to put the puck on net, said Roy following the Americans overtime win. "The fact the puck went in the net is a bonus."

The Americans went 1 for 4 on the power play while Wichita was 0 for 2. Both teams wound up with 34 shots on net. Americans netminder Riley Gill won for the second time in Wichita this season. Gill was part of a 3-0 shutout in late November. Jonathan Parker had two assists for Allen in the win. His first helper was the 100th point of his pro career.

Allen improved to 3-0 against the Thunder this season with the same two clubs set to hook up next Wednesday night in Wichita. The Americans next home game is January 8th against Colorado.
