
ECHL goaltenders enjoying strong season

As the 2015 portion of the 2015-16 season draws to a close, goaltenders across the league are flexing their collective muscles.
Entering the week, seven netminders have a goals-against average of 2.00 or less compared to one at this point last season and three in 2013-14.
Leading the way is Florida's Daniel Altshuller, who is currently recalled to Charlotte of the American Hockey League, with a 1.58 goals-against average. Altshuller also leads the league with a .941 save percentage and is tied for the league lead with three shutouts.
Missouri's Josh Robinson has a league-best 14 wins and is second with a 1.65 goals-against average just ahead of his teammate Parker Milner, who has a 1.67 goals-against average.
Kevin Carr of Tulsa, who has started each of the Oilers' last 14 games, ranks fourth with a 1.89 goals-against average and is tied for third with 11 wins.
Colorado's Kris Lazaruk is fifth with a 1.97 goals-against average while Brad Thiseen of Cincinnati and South Carolina's Vitek Vanecek are tied for sixth with a 2.00 mark.

Eastern Conference
Elmira at Toledo (Wednesday/Sunday)
Two of the hottest teams in the league over the last month meet for a pair of games this week. The Jackals are 7-3-0 in their last 10 games and are three points out of first place in the East Division while the Walleye have won five straight and are 8-2-0 in their last 10 to take a seven-point lead in the North Division.
Western Conference
Colorado at Idaho (Wednesday/Friday/Saturday)
Both teams have strated to turn things around after slow starts with the Eagles moving into second place in the West Division with 30 points and the Steelheads using a 5-0-1 streak to close to within five points of division-leading Utah.

East Division
- Drew Fielding has won each of his four starts this season.
- The Thunder are 10-1-1 when outshot by their opponent.
- Adirondack hosts Greenville on Tuesday and Reading on Thursday before visiting the Royals on Saturday and Sunday.
- Cason Hohmann is tied for fifth among rookies with 10 goals.
- The Jackals are 15-0-0 when leading after two periods.
- Elmira visits Toledo on Wednesday and Sunday and is at Kalamazoo on Thursday and Saturday.
- Colin Stevens recorded his first professional shutout with 44 saves in a 2-0 win over Adirondack on Sunday.
- Manchester leads the league with 33.97 shots per game.
- The Monarchs host Greenville on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
- Charles-Olivier Roussel is tied for seventh among defensemen with 19 points (2g-17a).
- The Admirals are 7-1-0 when leading after one period.
- Norfolk visits Atlanta on Tuesday and Wednesday, hosts the Gladiators on Saturday and travels to Wheeling on Sunday.
- Adam Comrie is on a four-game point streak (3g-4a).
- Reading has scored first in six straight and seven of its last eight games.
- The Royals are at Brampton on Monday and Adirondack on Thursday before hosting the Thunder on Saturday and Sunday.
North Division
- Brandon Marino is tied for second with 22 assists.
- The Beast are the league's sixth-least penalized team with 13.00 penalty minutes per game.
- Brampton hosts Reading on Monday and visits Fort Wayne on Tuesday and Wheeling on Thursday and Saturday.
- Dane Fox had a career-high four points (1g-3a) in Sunday's 7-4 win at Wheeling.
- Kalamazoo is 5-1-3 in one-goal games.
- The K-Wings host Elmira on Thursday and Saturday.
- Jeff Lerg has won five consecutive starts and is second in the league with 12 wins.
- The Walleye are 13-2-3 in their last 18 games.
- Toledo hosts Elmira on Wednesday and Sunday, visits Cincinnati on Thursday and hosts Fort Wayne on Saturday.
- Riley Brace has six points (3g-3a) in his last three games.
- Wheeling is 12-0-0 when leading after two periods.
- The Nailers host Brampton on Thursday and Saturday and Norfolk on Sunday.
South Division
- Tyler Murovich played his 350th career pro game on Saturday against Greenville.
- Atlanta is 10-0-0 when scoring four or more goals.
- The Gladiators host Norfolk on Tuesday and Wednesday and visit the Admirals on Saturday.
- Logan Roe scored his first pro goal on Sunday at Orlando.
- The Everblades lead the league on the penalty kill at 90.1 percent (109-for-121).
- Florida hosts Orlando on Friday and visits the Solar Bears on Saturday and Sunday.
- P.J. Musico is 4-1-0 on the road with a 1.89 goals-against average.
- Greenville is 9-1-1 when scoring at least one power-play goal.
- The Swamp Rabbits are at Adirondack on Tuesday and Manchester on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
- Mark Nemec is tied for second among defensemen in plus-minus at +17.
- Orlando is tied for the league lead with eight shorthanded goals.
- The Solar Bears host South Carolina on Tuesday, visit Florida on Friday and host the Everblades on Saturday and Sunday.
- Branden Komm recorded his first professional shutout on Sunday against Norfolk.
- South Carolina leads the league with 25.00 shots-against per game.
- The Stingrays are at Orlando on Tuesday and host Cincinnati on Saturday and Sunday.
Midwest Division
- Andrew Yogan is on a six-game point streak (4g-5a).
- The Cyclones play eight of their next 11 games on the road.
- Cincinnati hosts Indy on Tuesday and Toledo on Thursday before visiting South Carolina on Saturday and Sunday.
- Jordan Sims is tied for fifth with three game-winning goals.
- Evansville has scored a league-leading 35 goals in the second period.
- The IceMen travel to Quad City on Wednesday and host the Mallards on Thursday, Missouri on Saturday and Wichita on Sunday.
- Brett Perlini is on a seven-game point streak (3g-7a).
- The Komets lead the league on the power play at 24.5 percent (24-for-98).
- Fort Wayne hosts Brampton on Tuesday and Indy on Thursday and visits the Fuel on Friday and Toledo on Saturday.
- Mac Carruth has won his last three starts with a 1.00 goals-against average and a .968 save percentage.
- Indy is the league's least-penalized team with 9.67 penalty minutes per game.
- The Fuel are at Cincinnati on Tuesday and Fort Wayne on Thursday and hosts the Komets on Friday and Wichita on Saturday.
- Olivier Archambault has five points (2g-3a) in his last four games.
- The Mallards have killed off 40 of their opponents' last 42 power plays.

- Jonathan Parker collected his 100th career point in Sunday's overtime win at Wichita.

- Kevin Carr is fourth with a 1.89 goals-against average.
- Tulsa is fourth with 26.77 shots-against per game.
- The Oilers are at Rapid City on Thursday and Saturday.
- Eric Springer scored his first goal of the season on Sunday against Allen.
- The Thunder have played past regulation in four of their last five games.
- Wichita hosts Allen on Wednesday and visits Missouri on Thursday, Indy on Saturday and Evansville on Sunday.
West Division
- Troy Redmann is third with 484 saves.
- Alaska is tied for second with 33.79 shots per game.
- The Aces host Utah on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
- Trent Daavettila is second with 32 points (13g-19a).
- The Eagles are second with 25.73 shots-against per game.
- Colorado is at Idaho on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
- Philippe Desrosiers is 4-0-1 in his last five starts with a 2.21 goals-against average over that span.
- Idaho has scored at least one power-play goal in six consecutive games.
- The Steelheads are at Utah on Monday and host Colorado on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
- Winston Day Chief leads Rapid City with 20 points (7g-13a).
- The Rush are 6-1-3 in one-goal games.
- Rapid City hosts Tulsa on Thursday and Saturday.
- Alex Krushelnyski has 12 points (8g-4a) in his last 11 games.
- Utah has outscored its opponents 33-12 during its seven-game home winning streak.
- The Grizzlies host Idaho on Monday and are at Alaska on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
