Indy Fuel News Release

Indy finishes the 2015 calendar portion of the schedule on the road with a pair of games against division rivals Cincinnati on Tuesday and Fort Wayne New Year's Eve. The Fuel then enter January and will play 12-of-14 games at home starting with the Komets in town on New Year's Day followed by the only appearance of the Wichita Thunder January 2.

TEAM NOTES

Captain Zach Miskovic recorded his first back-to-back multi-point games since November of 2009 when he was a member of the Hershey Bears. Miskovic had two goals and four points over a two game span including the game-winning goal against Quad City Saturday night.

Rhett Bly has a three-game point scoring streak in progress (1-2-3).

Mac Carruth has won his last three starts with a 1.00 GAA and .968 save percentage in that span.

The Fuel is now the least-penalized team in the league, averaging a scant 9.67 penalty minutes per game. The team has been whistled for 100 minor penalties this year, also the fewest in the league.

In January, the Fuel plays 12 of its 14 games at Indiana Farmers Coliseum - almost the polar opposite of February when only two of the 11 scheduled games will be played at home.

NEW FACE IN THE CROWD

The Fuel added a new player right before the start of Sunday's game when former UMass-Lowell Riverhawk Michael Colantone signed an ECHL standard player contract with the club. Wearing #18 the Brooklyn, NY native recorded two shots on goal in his pro debut after spending three-plus seasons at UMass-Lowell where he posted 13 goals and 26 points in 78 games.

YOUTH HOCKEY NIGHT

Join the Fuel in recognizing the next generation of hockey stars during Youth Hockey Night at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Representatives from surrounding youth hockey associations will be on hand as we celebrate the continued growth of the game around Central Indiana.

CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS NIGHT

The "Madhouse on Madison" returns to Indy on January 16 with Chicago Blackhawks personalities on hand to celebrate our NHL affiliate's 2015 Stanley Cup Championship! The festivities start in Grand Hall nearby Indiana Farmers Coliseum at 5 pm with special entertainment, food and beverages. The first 1,000 ticket holders in attendance will take home a limited edition hockey puck!
