ROUND ROCK HAS BEST RECORD IN THE PCL

The Express (74-51, .592) have the PCL's best record, winning five of the last six games. The Express took three of four games at Sacramento (73-52, .584), the team with the best record in the Pacific Conference standings. Round Rock is four-and-a-half games ahead of Omaha (69-55, .556) in the overall American Conference standings. Nine of 16 PCL teams are at or above .500, five of which are in the American Conference.

DIVISION STANDINGS UPDATE

Round Rock (74-51, .592) gained a game in the standings last night over Albuquerque (63-62, .504) in the American Southern Division standings. The Express now hold an 11.0 game lead in the division. While the Express won at Fresno 1-0 yesterday, the Isotopes lost at Sacramento 4-3 in 13 innings. The Express are 37-20 since June 18, during which time Albuquerque is 24-33. Round Rock has at least shared the division lead following 103 of 125 games this season and has led the division outright since June 25. New Orleans (62-63, .496) trails Round Rock by 12.0 games, while Oklahoma City (57-68, .456) is 17.0 games back.

MAGIC NUMBER: 9

Entering today's game, Round Rock's magic number for clinching the PCL American Southern Division title is 9. The magic number represents the number of Express wins or Albuquerque losses necessary to clinch the division title. The earliest Round Rock can clinch the title is Aug. 22 vs. New Orleans.

JONES REACHES MILESTONE

Express manager Bobby Jones won the 1,500th game of his managerial career Saturday night at Sacramento - all of the wins have come in the Texas Rangers organization. His tally includes stints with Class-A Charlotte (1988-1990), Double-A Tulsa (1991-1992, 1996-2000), Triple-A Oklahoma City (1993-1994, 2002-2010) and Round Rock. Jones' most successful season at the Triple-A level was 2004 when he led Oklahoma City to 81 wins and the PCL American Southern Division title. He owns 12 division titles and guided the 1998 Tulsa squad to a Texas League championship.
