Reno Aces News Release
RENO, Nev.- The first-place Reno Aces return home Saturday, August 20, for a four-game series against the division-rival Tacoma Rainiers, featuring the return of Dog Days of Summer and Dollar Bone Night, along with a youth baseball giveaway and post-game autograph session with Aces players.
The four-game set with Tacoma-which will likely have significant playoff implications-begins Saturday at 7:05 p.m. with the return of the Corona Lucky Cup promotion. Select Corona and Corona Light cups will be adorned with winning stickers, and fans who purchase the lucky cups will win prizes courtesy of Corona.
Saturday also marks the season's final United Federal Credit Union Math and Reading Challenge recognition. Children who completed the Math and Reading Challenge are eligible to run the bases before Saturday's game. All children 12 and under-as with all Friday, Saturday and Sunday games this season-can run the bases after the game, courtesy of Dr. David Welmerink.
Also, Saturday is Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader' Night, presented by my21, when select fans will be quizzed for the chance to win prizes.
Sunday's 1:05 p.m. contest is a Renown Children's Hospital Family Funday, with the return of the popular baseball bingo promotion. This Sunday, winners will be invited to participate in a fantasy batting practice at Aces Ballpark for them and a guest.
In addition, 1,500 children 12 and under will receive a youth baseball upon entering Aces Ballpark Sunday afternoon. As a bonus, all children who receive a youth baseball can join the Aces players for a post-game autograph session, located in the Freight House Garden on the concourse level near the Coors Light Party Zone.
Also on Sunday, the Cat in the Hat and Clifford the Big Red Dog will be making special appearances at Aces Ballpark to celebrate KNPB Day.
Monday, the series continues with the return of Dog Days of Summer, where fans can purchase a special Dog Days ticket package for just $25, which includes two human tickets, one dog ticket and a special Aces dog accessory. Fans can call Andrei at (775) 334-7010 for more details.
Tuesday's 7:05 p.m. series finale is the season's final Dollar Bone Night presented by KTVN Channel 2 News, where fans can get ribs for just $1 apiece. The ribs are available exclusively in the right field corner concession stand, and there is a limited supply, so fans are encouraged to arrive early.
Tickets for all Aces games, including the 2011 Pacific Coast League playoffs, are available today at RenoAces.com, the Aces Ballpark box office or by phone at (775) 334-7000. Discounted group tickets are also available.
