Final Homestand at Kino Stadium Starts Saturday

The Tucson Padres play ten games in nine days to wrap up the home portion of their 2011 schedule. The eventful homestand begins Saturday, August 20 and runs through Sunday, August 28 and features the Sacramento River Cats (Oakland A's affiliate) and the Reno Aces (Arizona Diamondbacks affiliate). It is the final group of home games until the Padres begin the 2012 season on April 5 at Kino Stadium. The 2011 regular season ends with an eight game road trip, starting August 29, with four games in Tacoma and then four in Reno.
"We would like to thank our fans and sponsors for a great season. We hope they all can make it out to one or more of our final nine home dates of the season," said Mike Feder, Tucson Padres Vice President and General Manager.

August 20th:
TUCSON PADRES REPLICA JERSEY NIGHT presented by Bank of the West / TOURISM APPRECIATION NIGHT
- The first 1,000 adults, 17 and older, with paid admission receive a free Tucson Padres Replica Jersey. Gates open at 6:00 pm. Come check out the Arizona Centennial Copper Chopper, a copper-plated motorcycle. It will be on display at Kino Stadium for Tourism Appreciation Night.
August 21st:
MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT presented by Chase & 104.1 The Truth / BARK IN THE PARK / JEWISH HERITAGE NIGHT
- The Padres will honor all branches of the military in Southern Arizona at every Sunday home game. All active or retired military and veterans will be admitted for only $4, as well as anyone in their party with an ID. It's also Goodwill of Southern Arizona Night - go to the Community Page of the Tucson Padres website to learn how you can get a 2-for-1 coupon for Sunday home games by donating to Goodwill. Dogs will be admitted for free with their owners. Fans may sit out on the grass berm in the outfield or in the seats down the foul line with your pet.
August 22nd:
KiiM FAMILY NIGHT / MARGARITA MONDAY / CHILDREN OF FALLEN POLICE OFFICERS NIGHT
- A group or family will get 4 reserved tickets, 4 hot dogs, & 4 soft drinks FOR ONLY $20 - a $65 value! Any tickets purchased after four will be sold at a $5.00 price. All you have to do is mention KiiM-FM. The Greg Spivey Band will perform on The Grove (outside Gate A) from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Also, it's Margarita Monday, with two-for-one margarita specials starting at 6:00 pm.
August 23rd:
KRAFT SINGLES & ARIZONA DAILY STAR TWO FOR TUESDAYS / BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA CATALINA COUNCIL FAMILY NIGHT

August 24th:
WIENER WEDNESDAY presented by 92.9 The Mountain & MIA 97.1 / SENIORS BASEBALL / BAT FOR THE CURE FUNDRAISER
- $1.00 hot dogs all night long! The Tucson TOTS Seniors Baseball Team (60 & older) will play in an exhibition game from 5:20 - 6:10. They are the "oldest team in the world".
August 25th:
DOUBLEHEADER (6:00) - BUDWEISER THIRSTY THURSDAY
presented by KMSB Fox 11, K-HIT, & the Tucson Weekly - Budweiser, Bud Light, and Coca-Cola products go on sale for only $1.00 when the gates open at 5:30 pm; $2 crafts - Sierra Nevada, Odell and Barrio. The beer special ends at the start of the second game. Designated drivers will get a wristband for complimentary soft drinks. All college students will be admitted for $4.50 with a school ID.
August 26th:
TUCSON PADRES JERSEY BACKPACK GIVEAWAY presented by McDonald's, KOLD-TV, KIIM-FM. The first 2,000 kids, ages 6-16, with paid admission will receive a free Tucson Padres Backpack. Gates open at 6:00.
August 27th: TWO GREAT PROMOTIONS IN ONE -
FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR presented by Rosemont Copper, KVOA and 93.7 KRQ / PADRES SUN SHADE NIGHT
sponsored by CenturyLink- Bring the family as the skies light up above the ballpark for a great show as the Tucson Padres celebrate a great season. Also the first 2,000 adults get a FREE Tucson Padres Sun Shade when they enter the stadium. Gates open at 6:00 pm.
August 28th:
2011 SEASON FINALE / MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT presented by Chase and 104.1 The Truth / SPONSOR SUNDAY / BARK IN THE PARK
- This is the last home game of the 2011 Tucson Padres. The Tucson Padres would like to thank the fans and sponsors for their tremendous support this season!
Opening Night at Kino Stadium for 2012 is scheduled for Thursday, April 5.
As a way of saying thank you, Padres sponsors (program & signage) will be distributing vouchers for a $1 General Admission or $4 Reserved Seat.
