
Roughnecks Fall to Bold 1-5

Tulsa Roughnecks FC travelled to Austin, TX to play the Austin Bold FC in USL Championship league play.
For the third time this season , the Tulsa Roughnecks FC squared off against Austin Bold FC. Bold got off to the perfect start with a counterattack off of a Roughnecks corner when Twumasi found the back of the net to make it 1-0 to the home side. Minutes later, Austin Bold FC doubled their lead to make it 2-0 when Andre Lima hit a shot past Stajduhar. The third and fourth goal followed from the penalty spot where Andre Klebber converted both spot kicks in the 25th and 41st minute. The Roughnecks did find the back of the net in the 41st minute from the penalty spot after a foul on Cristhian Altamirano. Cristhian converted the spot kick giving Tulsa a point on the board. Halftime score 4-1 to the home team.
The Tulsa Roughnecks started off the second half creating multiple chances but were unable to score their second goal of the match. Austin Bold FC were awarded their third and the nights fourth penalty of the match. Sonny Guardarrama took the PK and found the back of the net with the final score finishing 5-1 to the home side.
The team returns to ONEOK field Wednesday, August 28th vs. Las Vegas Lights, then playing Fresno Saturday, August 31st.
