LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs announced today that center Marco Rosa has been reassigned by the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. He will rejoin the team for the game this evening against the Bakersfield Condors.

In 27 games this season with the Admirals, Rosa scored 2 goals and had 2 assists while also accumulating 17 penalty minutes. The 6'1", 185 pound native of Scarborough, British Columbia played in every game last year for the Ice Dogs. Originally drafted in the 8th Round (255th overall) by the Dallas Stars in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, he was second on the team in scoring last year with 34 goals and 31 assists.

"It was a good experience for him up there in Milwaukee", said Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Malcolm Cameron. "Sometimes you have to take a step back to take two steps forward and we're just glad to have him back here to work on his improvement."

Rosa was also named to the ECHL's All-Rookie Team last season. Prior to joining the Ice Dogs, he played four years at Merrimack College where he was named his teams' Rookie of the Year in 2001 and named the top defensive forward in New England College hockey in 2004.

The Ice Dogs host the Bakersfield Condors tonight at 7:30PM at the Long Beach Arena. Call (562) ICE-DOGS for visit www.icedogs.com for more information.
