Toledo Walleye News Release

(Toledo, Ohio) Toledo Storm Vice-president and General Manager Mike Miller announced today that he was leaving the hockey club to pursue other opportunities.

"Barry and I had a good conversation and he wanted to change the direction of the organization," Miller said. "We discussed myself being reassigned to other areas, but I informed him that my passion and interest has always been in the broadcast industry and this might be the perfect time for us to part company. Let's face it, Barry pays the bills and it is his baby. Barry's enthusiasm hopefully can carry over to the Storm staff."

Storm President Barry Soskin stated, "I would like to thank Mike for his four years of service with the Storm. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."

Speaking of the front office staff, Miller stated they were great to work with and wishes them all the best. Miller also stated he wishes Nick Vitucci and the Hockey club the best of luck. "I really like what Nick has done, I believe it is a team that can contend." Miller broadcasted three PGA tour events this past season on The PGA tour network and also fills in on NHL"s Home Ice. "My health is fine and I am looking forward to getting back into the broadcast industry. I wish the entire storm organization the best of luck. I've always said Toledo is a great market and the fans who have supported hockey in this area should be commended."
