Delaware 87ers forward Sean Kilpatrick scored 20 second-half points to lift the 87ers to a 124-115 comeback win over Raptors 905 Saturday afternoon at Hershey Centre in Mississauga.
Raptors 905 set team season highs for points in a quarter (41) and points in a half (71) and led by as many as 20 at one point in second quarter en route to a 14-point lead at halftime. Delaware outscored Raptors 905 37-23 in the third quarter and 30-21 in the final frame to complete the come-from-behind win.
Kilpatrick finished the game with 28 points and was joined among double-digit scorers by Jordan McRae (27), Christian Wood (17), Rysheed Jordan (15), David Laury (11) and Gary Talton (11). Ronald Roberts Jr. led Raptors 905 offensively with a game-high and team season-high 29 points and added a game-high 14 rebounds. Also reaching double-digits in points for Raptors 905 were Norman Powell (23), Bruno Caboclo (20), Delon Wright (12), Axel Toupane (12) and Scott Suggs (11). Wright also had a team season-high 13 assists.
Delaware led Raptors 905 in three point percentage (32.1-25.9), free throw percentage (75.6-75.0) and second-chance points (19-17), while Raptors 905 held the advantage in field goal percentage (51.7-50.6), points in the paint (70-58) and fast-break points (20-19). The 87ers scored 31 points from the foul line to Raptors 905's 18.
Raptors 905 and Delaware rematch Sunday, December 20 at Hershey Centre in Mississauga at 2 p.m.
