(HARRISBURG, PA) - The Trenton Thunder (7-9) were 8-2 losers to the Harrisburg Senators (8-7) Saturday night at Metro Bank Park, completing the three-game sweep for the Senators. The Thunder were outscored in the series 15-7 and were dominated by the three Senator starting pitchers, who combined to give up just five runs in 19 and one third innings.

The only Thunder runs Saturday night came from the team's hottest hitter, Austin Romine. With the Thunder trailing 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Romine came to the plate with one out and a runner on first. It was then that the Thunder catcher smacked a ball to left field that landed out of Metro Bank Park, tying the score at two apiece.

Those would be the only runs scored for the Thunder, who all of the sudden find themselves struggling to manufacture runs. The seven runs scored in the three-game series were the product of just three plate appearances: Romine's three-run double in Game 1, Suttle's two-run homerun in Game 2 and Romine's two-run homerun Saturday in Game 3.

After an off day on Sunday, the Thunder will visit the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants) on Monday at 6:35 PM for the first of a four-game series. Yankee top left-handed pitching prospect LHP Manny Banuelos (0-0, 0.00) will get the Game 1 start for the Thunder, while Richmond will counter with LHP Thomas Vessella (1-1, 7.11). Tune-in to the game on 91.3 WTSR-FM and on trentonthunder.com. The SBLI Pre-Game Show with Hank Fuerst begins at 6:45 PM on the Trenton Thunder Radio Network.
