Binghamton Rumble Ponies News Release

MANCHESTER, NH - The final game of a three-game set between the Binghamton Mets and New Hampshire Fisher Cats was rained out Saturday afternoon at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. The contest will be made up as part of a doubleheader Saturday, May 7 beginning at 1:35 PM with two seven-inning games.

The rainout gives the Fisher Cats a two-game series sweep of Binghamton (5-8). New Hampshire (9-5) has won four of the five meetings between the two teams thus far in 2011. The B-Mets have had four of their first 17 games postponed due to rain. In 2010, Binghamton had just one postponement in April.

The B-Mets will enjoy Easter Sunday with an off day Sunday in Portland. However, Binghamton continues its New England swing Monday at 6:00 PM at Hadlock Field with the first game of a four-game set with the Portland Sea Dogs. B-Mets RHP Brandon Moore (0-0, 7.00) will start opposite RHP Stephen Fife (2-0, 2.70). The Horizons Federal Credit Union Pre-Game Show begins at 5:45 PM on Newsradio 1290 WNBF.
