Today, the SeaWolves wrap up a three-game series against the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles) in doubleheader action at Jerry Uht Park. It will be the second doubleheader between the two clubs. Erie and Bowie split a twin bill on April 17 in Bowie...Thursday, Erie starter Luke Putkonen struggled and did not make it through four innings as he took his first loss of the season as the Howlers dropped the series opener 7-6. The loss dropped the 'Wolves to 1-4 on the year against the Baysox. Four of the five games of the season series have been decided by one run and the 'Wolves are 1-3 in those games. The SeaWolves are hitting .216 in five games against the Baysox with 24 runs scored...The SeaWolves are averaging 4.8 runs per game at home this season...Righty Mark Sorensen takes the mound for the 'Wolves making his third start of the season and second against the Baysox in game one. He has taken no-decisions in back-to-back starts. In his last start against the Baysox, Sorensen went 5.2 innings, allowing a run on seven hits with seven strikeouts and two walks...L.J. Gagnier remains the only SeaWolves starting pitcher with a win this season...Lefty Casey Crosby takes the mound for the 'Wolves in game two.
