Rome, GA - The Rome Braves dropped game one of a four games series Friday night against the Augusta Greenjackets 2-1 before 3,621 fans. It was the fourth straight loss for the Braves.

Rome jumped out front 1-0 in the third inning when Matt Kennelly doubled and scored on an RBI single by Cole Miles. Augusta tied the game in the sixth when Shane Jordan walked and later scored on a bases loaded walk by reliever Benino Pruneda.

Augusta would take the lead in the top of the ninth aided by an error by Chad Lundahl on a pop to short centerfield by Garrett Baker. This allowed Juan Ciriaco to score what proved to be the winning run.

Ryan Paul (4-2) gets the win for Augusta while Casey Beck (1-4) is tagged with the loss.

Roster Move: Pitcher Steven Figueroa has been placed on the disabled list with a strained wrist.
