PRINCE GEORGE, BC- The Kelowna Rockets picked up the weekend sweep over the Prince George Cougars after a 3-0 win Saturday at the CN Centre.

The Cougars were blanked by Rockets' 18-year-old goaltender Colby Knight, who made 21 saves for his first career shutout. It was the first time in 15 games the Cougars were held off the scoresheet this season. Prince George is now winless in their last three.

Andrew Cristall scored the game-winner in the second period for Kelowna, as the Rockets won their fourth in a row. Max Graham provided an insurance goal, also in the second, and Tyson Feist scored into an empty net in final seconds of regulation.

Tyler Brennan was named the game's third star after he stopped 30 of 32 shots in the Prince George crease.

It was a big night at the CN Centre, as over 2,500 fans tried to win a Mega 50/50 Jackpot of over $80,000. In the end, the Cougars' offence couldn't cash in, as they were held to just 21 shots.

The Rockets broke the scoreless deadlock midway through the second, as 16-year-old Andrew Cristall scored his fourth at 10:49. Cristall redirected Pavel Novak's point shot down and through the legs of Brennan.

Kelowna added an insurance marker six-minutes later, as it was Graham scoring after Jake Lee dished the puck out front from the goal line. Graham's goal made it 2-0 for the Rockets at 16:53.

Feist provided the finishing touches on the win for the Rockets with an empty net goal at 19:58 of the third period.

Game Notes: Prince George were missing four players due to injury in Bauer Dumanski, Caden Brown, Kyren Gronick, and Fischer O'Brien. 17-year-old Gavin Schmidt, fresh off signing his WHL Standard Player Agreement, made his debut Saturday. Prince George has now scored just nine goals in their last seven games.
