Hauser Blanks Saskatoon while ICE Score Six

Daniel Hauser made 19 saves Sunday night at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena as the Winnipeg ICE extended their winning streak to six games with a 6-0 win over the Saskatoon Blades.

Hauser, with a personal record of 9-0 this season, earned his second shut out of the year.

Jakin Smallwood scored twice, singles came from Conor Geekie, Maximilian Streule, Zach Benson and Mikey Milne as Winnipeg's record is now 17-1 to lead the Western Hockey League with 34 points in 18 games.

The Milne (one goal, three assists), Geekie (one goal, three assists) and Smallwood (two goals, one assist) line combined for 11 points in the game.

The ICE led 1-0 after the first period and 5-0 through 40 minutes.

Ethan Chadwick suffered the loss in net for Saskatoon making 31 of 37 saves.

The ICE complete a five game homestand earning all 10 possible points and now look ahead to a two game road trip starting Friday in Swift Current at 7:00 and Saturday in Medicine Hat at 8:00.

Next home action is Wednesday, November 24th vs the Swift Current Broncos at 7:00.
