ICE CHIPS
This afternoon's game is the finale to five consecutive games on home ice for the ICE.
Following a pair of wins over the Red Deer Rebels, a 5-1 victory Wednesday versus Lethbridge and last night's 4-1 decision over Saskatoon, the ICE are now 10-0 at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena this season. In those 10 games, Winnipeg has outscored their opposition 59-17.

Winnipeg and Saskatoon are scheduled to play eight times during the WHL regular season (Last Night @ Wpg 4-1 W / This afternoon @ Wpg / Dec 3 @ Wpg / Dec 4 @ Wpg / Dec 15 @ Sktn / Jan 22 @ Sktn / Mar 4 @ Sktn / Mar 23 @ Sktn).
The ICE have won eight of their past 10 games versus the Blades, led by Connor McClennon who has six goals and 12 assists for 18 points.

The Winnipeg ICE recalled forward Aiden Oiring from the Southern Alberta Hockey Academy U18 Prep team of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League for last night's game.
In his WHL debut, the 16 year old was +1 and was 2 for 2 in the face off circle.
In 13 games this season with the Southern Alberta Hockey Academy, Oiring has 12 goals and nine assists for 21 points and 18 penalty minutes. The 5'7", 164 pound forward was selected by the ICE in the third round, 58th overall in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft.
Defenseman Omen Harmacy, who was recalled from the Winnipeg Thrashers of the Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League, played his first WHL game last Sunday afternoon with the ICE. He was +1 in a 7-5 win over the Red Deer Rebels

WHL HISTORY
With their 11th win of the season October 27th in Calgary, Winnipeg won the most consecutive games to open a WHL season since 2006 eclipsing the previous mark of 10 games set by the 2014-15 Kelowna Rockets and 2006-07 Vancouver Giants.
A 3-1 loss in Edmonton October 29th saw the ICE fall one game short of tying for the longest winning streak in WHL history to start a season. The 1988-89 Swift Current Broncos hold the record of 12 straight wins before losing in Saskatoon October 30, 1988.
