The Kelowna Rockets completed their weekend trip up to Prince George with their second consecutive win over the Cougars, blanking Prince George 3-0 at the Sandman Centre on Saturday night.

Rockets netminder Colby Knight made 21 saves to pick up his first career WHL shutout and third win of the season. Twenty-year-old defenceman Jake Lee continued his dominant play as of late, picking up assists on the Rockets first two goals en route to earning first star honours.

Andrew Cristall (4) broke the scoreless tie midway into the second period, redirecting Pavel Novak's shot past Cougars goaltender Tyler Brennan. Jake Lee then fed Max Graham (3) in front of the Prince George net to push the Rockets ahead to a two-goal lead.

Captain Tyson Feist (5) fired the puck into the empty net from his own end to make it a 3-0 game.

Both the Rockets and Cougars powerplay units were unsuccessful on the night. Prince George was zero-for-five, while Kelowna was zero-for-three.

The Rockets outshot the Cougars 33 to 21.

With the win, the Rockets record now moves to 8-3-0-1. Kelowna has collected 13 of a possible 14 points in their last seven games.

Kelowna is now off until next weekend when they'll head to Portland to play the Winterhawks in back-to-back games at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, OR.
