The Kelowna Rockets fell to the B.C. Division-leading Vancouver Giants 2-1 Friday night at the Langley Events Centre in Langley B.C.

Skating up the right wing, Kyle Crosbie (7) took a wrist shot that slid through Trent Miner's five-hole, tying up the game at 11:01. The two were tied at one after two periods of play.

The Rockets and Giants went back and forth throughout the third period. With 3:37 left to play in the game the Rockets were called for their first penalty of the game, Michael Farren was sent to the box for high sticking. It took the Giants just 20 seconds to capitalize on the power play chance, Dylan Plouffe (8) scored the go-ahead goal that would hold up as the game-winning goal.
