U.S. Division Champion Silvertips to Open the WHL Playoffs against the Tri-City Americans

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips ( @WHLSilvertips), seven-time U.S. Division champions of the Western Hockey League, will open the 2019 WHL Playoffs with a best-of-seven series against the Tri-City Americans, starting at downtown Everett's Angel of the Winds Arena with Game 1 on Friday, Mar. 22 at 7:35 p.m. Game two will follow in downtown Everett on Saturday, Mar. 23 at 7:05pm and the series will follow a 2-2-1-1-1 format.

Ticket packages offering no fees and a selection of Games 1-2 packs, a Silvertips hat, or Hockey Happy Hour beverage offer, are on sale now, and individual tickets are also on sale by visiting www.everettsilvertips.com/playoffs, by calling (425) 252-5100 (press "1") or visiting the Silvertips offices, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

The Silvertips will face the Americans for the fifth time in postseason history and last met in the Western Conference Championship last season, won the Silvertips, 4-2 and advancing to the Rogers WHL Championship Series on an overtime game winning goal by Kevin Davis at Toyota Center. This season, the Silvertips clinched their seventh U.S. Division banner with a record through 67 games of 46-1-2-3 (97 points).

This season, the Silvertips went 5-3-0-0 in eight games against Tri-City this season. Connor Dewar led the Silvertips and the series with 10 points and five goals in eight meetings.

The Tips end the regular season on Fan Appreciation tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. in downtown Everett before a sellout crowd. Tickets for all Silvertips home playoff games are on sale now at www.everettsilvertips.com/playoffs.
