The Blades scored once in each period last night en route to a 3-2 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders in front of 9188 fans at SaskTel Centre. Max Gerlach (41), Ryan Hughes (30), and Brandon Schuldhaus (8) all scored for the Blades while Nolan Maier made 28 saves in goal for his 36th win of the year.

This Date in Blades History: March 16, 2011...The Blades won their 54th game of the 2010-11 regular-season, on the way to a franchise-record 56 victories, when they won Game 70 of the season and home game #35 by a 3-2 score over the Moose Jaw Warriors in a shootout. Matej Stransky and Darian Dziurzynski tallied in regulation time while Marek Viedensky and Brayden Schenn scored in the shootout in front of 8,630 fans at Credit Union Centre. Saskatoon out-shot Moose Jaw 44-35 in a game in which the goaltenders...Thomas Heemskerk for the Warriors and Steven Stanford for the Blades...were the first two stars.
