The Seattle Thunderbirds defeated the Kelowna Rockets 5-0 at Prospera Place in Kelowna on Wednesday night.
Burke Gallimore and Chance Lund scored in the first period, Travis Toomey added to the T-Birds lead in the second period and Marcel Noebels scored in the third period as the Thunderbirds led from start
Kelowna will wrap up the WHL regular season this weekend with a home and home series against Vancouver. The two teams play Friday night in Vancouver before the Rockets play their final home game on Saturday night against Vancouver.
The WHL playoffs begin March 25 and Kelowna will host home games against an undetermined opponent on March 25 and 26 at Prospera Place.
