MTC Centre Playoff Prices Announced

Brandon, MB. - The Brandon Wheat Kings have unveiled ticket price information for their upcoming Western Hockey League playoff home games, to be played later this month at theMTS Centre in Winnipeg.

The Wheat Kings, who close out their 2010-11 regular season schedule this weekend with a home and home series with the Moose Jaw Warriors, have also announced that tickets for games three and four of their best of seven opening round playoff series will go on sale thisMonday, March 21st at 10 a.m.

Tickets to the games, scheduled forMonday, March 28th andThursday, March 31st, will be$22 for Adults and$14 for Youth(ages 17 and under).

"We've priced these games to put people in the building," says Wheat Kings' director of sales and sponsorship Rick Dillabough. "An adult ticket anywhere in the MTS Centre for $22...and a special youth price for fans 17 and under offers tremendous value to fans of Major Junior Hockey."

Western Manitoba hockey fans also have the option to purchase tickets to these two playoff games at the Keystone Centre box office in Brandon.

Entering the final weekend of regular season play, Brandon occupies sixth place in the WHL's Eastern Conference. The Wheat Kings currently lead the seventh place Edmonton Oil Kings by one point, with two games to play.

Depending on where the Wheat Kings wind up after the weekend will determine who they will meet in the opening round of post-season play. Should they finish in sixth, they will face the third seed in the Conference. A seventh place finish however, will mean a first round series against the Central Division pennant winner. Entering the final two games of the 2010-11 regular season, Red Deer leads the Central by four points over Medicine Hat. Both teams have two games remaining.

Brandon's final regular season game is Saturday night at Westman Place, with the puck drop expected to be about 7:40 p.m. as the Wheat Kings will be presenting their 2011 Awards before, during and immediately following the game against Moose Jaw.
