Prince Albert SK- With a convincing 6-2 victory over the Hitmen in Calgary on Wednesday, coupled with the Lethbridge Hurricanes falling 8-1 to the Oil Kings in Edmonton on Tuesday, the Prince Albert Raiders are poised to make the playoffs for the first time since the 2006-2007 season. The Raiders are four points up on the Hurricanes with two games remaining in the regular season and are guaranteed at least a tie-breaker game against the Hurricanes. With either one point in their final two games, or one more loss by the Hurricanes, the Raiders will clinch the 8th and final playoff position in the Eastern Conference. They wrap up the regular season with a home and home series against the 11th place Swift Current Broncos starting on Friday in Prince Albert. The Raiders are 3-2-1-0 against the Broncos and have won the past two times they have met; 6-1 in Prince Albert on February 9th and 6-2 in Swift Current on March 1st. The Hurricanes meanwhile, finish off their regular season with a home and home series against the 4th place Kootenay Ice. The Ice are 3-0-0-1 against the Hurricanes and are 4-0-0-1 in their past five games.

Season Ticket Holder Playoff Information

Playoff packages are now available and season ticket holders can reserve their seats for playoffs until 5:00PM on Wednesday, March 23rd. Season ticket holders are also able to purchase one additional seat, per season ticket, for the playoffs. All season tickets that are not confirmed for playoffs by 5:00PM on March 23rd will be released to the general public. Playoff tickets will go on sale to the general public at 9:00AM on Thursday March 24th. Non season ticket holders can reserve a playoff seat by placing a $100 non-refundable deposit towards a season ticket for next season prior to the March 23rd 5:00PM deadline.

Ticket Prices for the first round are:

Adult: $17

Student: $11

Child: $6

Tie Breaker Game- In the event a tie breaker game is required, it will take place at 7:00PM on Tuesday March 22nd at the Art Hauser Centre. Tickets will be reserved for season ticket holders until 5:00PM on Monday March 21st and will be released to the general public at 9:00AM on Tuesday.

MacLeod To Host A & W Female Hockey Session March 21st

Similar to an event hosted by Sami Jo Small in 2009, Carla MacLeod will host an on-ice session for female minor hockey players in the area, Monday, March 21st at the Art Hauser Centre as presented by A & W Restaurants of Prince Albert. The sessions will consist of an on ice component in which MacLeod will run drills assisted by the Prince Albert A & W Bears of the Saskatchewan Major Midget Female Hockey League, followed by a meet and greet including MacLeod and her two Olympic Gold Medals!

Atom and younger girls will be on the ice with MacLeod from 6:00 - 7:00 PM followed by their meet and greet until 7:45 PM. Pee Wee and older girls will hit the ice from 8:00 - 9:00 PM with their meet and greet until 9:45 PM.

Registration will be $25 per player and accepted prior to the clinic at the Art Hauser Centre.
