Conference Title at Stake this Weekend; Playoff Tickets on Sale Now

March 17, 2011 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Portland Winterhawks News Release

The Winterhawks are currently first in the Western Conference with 99 points, one point ahead of the Spokane Chiefs. This weekend's games will determine playoff positioning, and fans won't want to miss a second of the action.

On Friday, the Hawks host the Everett Silvertips at 7 p.m. at the Rose Garden. Originally this game was scheduled to be Hall of Fame night, but due to a scheduling conflict with this year's inductee, it has been postponed. Instead, the Winterhawks will hand out their team awards that night, including Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year and Top Defensive Player. That game can also be seen on FSN Northwest.

After a road game Saturday in Seattle, the Winterhawks close out the regular season Sunday against the Spokane Chiefs in the Rose Garden at 5 p.m. in a game that could determine the top spot in the conference. That game is nearly sold out so fans should act quickly to get in on the action.

In addition, tickets to the Winterhawks' first two playoff games are on sale now. Game 1 will take place next Saturday, March 26 at 7 p.m. at the Rose Garden, while Game 2 is scheduled for Sunday, March 27 at 5 p.m. at the Rose Garden.

Tickets to those games are available now at ticketmaster.com, the Rose Quarter box office and the Winterhawks' ticket office in the Memorial Coliseum. In addition, playoff packages and group tickets for the playoffs are available by calling 503-236-HAWK.
