Kennewick, WA - Luke Siemens stopped 35 shots to earn first star of the night and lead the Silvertips to an important 2-1 road victory over the Tri-City Americans. Ryan Harrison and Josh Winquist scored for the 'Tips Wednesday night. Everett now moves up to seventh place in the Western Conference, one point ahead of the Prince George Cougars with three games remaining in the 2010-2011 regular season.
After a scoreless first period, Peter Holland got the scoring started for the Americans Wednesday night. Scoring his 22nd goal of the season, Holland gave Tri-City a 1-0 lead at 6:34 of the second period. Winquist tied the game at 11:43 with his eighth goal of the year on assists from Parker Stanfield and Tyler Maxwell. Winquist's goal made the score 1-1 to end the period.
Harrison scored the game winning goal at 9:17 of the third period on the power play. Harrison's 21st goal of the year led Everett a 2-1 victory over the Tri-City Americans.
This brings the 'Tips record to 28-30-7-4 with 67 points in 69 games played. Everett finishes the 2010-2011 season with three road games starting Friday, March 18th. Everett takes on the Portland Winterhawks at 7:05 pm this Friday!
