Idaho Steelheads News Release

Boise, ID (12/5/12) - The Idaho Steelheads, in conjunction with the ECHL, announced Wednesday morning that goaltender Josh Robinson has been named the league's Reebok Hockey Rookie of the Month for November.

The 23-year-old rookie posted a perfect 6-0 record between the pipes for the Steelheads with a .928 save percentage and a 2.63 goals-against average. Included among his November outings was a career-best 44 saves in a win over Las Vegas on November 23.

Robinson, who is under contract with the American Hockey League's Texas Stars, ranks third in the ECHL in save percentage (.930) and wins (9) this season. He also ranks in the league's top ten in goals-against average (2.46, 9th) in ten appearances in his first professional season out of Michigan Tech University.

This is his second league-wide honor after being named the ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending October 21.

Robinson and the rest of the Steelheads have a three-game/three-night road swing this weekend, starting with a Friday date in Las Vegas against the defending Western Conference champion Wranglers. Idaho then moves on to Ontario, CA, for games on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. The team's next home game is Wednesday, December 12, against the Alaska Aces - the team currently two points ahead of the Steelheads for the top spot in the Western Conference.

Partial-season ticket plans are still available, including the 20-voucher "Flex Plan," starting at just $249 per plan. Fans receive 20 vouchers redeemable at their convenience for any game during the regular season with lower-bowl and upper-bowl options.
