Royals Team up with Habitat for Humanity to Help Local Family Score
December 5, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Reading Royals News Release
Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL take this opportunity to thank Habitat for Humanity of Berks County for allowing the organization and several of the team's players to be a part of a home improvement project in downtown Reading that is destined to be a home for a local family.
Under the guidance of Habitat for Humanity Marketing and Development Manager, Nora Hassan, and several area volunteers, six players, Assistant Coach Tim Branham, and Marketing and Ticketing Coordinator Andrew Capizzi yesterday assisted in a variety of home improvement tasks at a home on Pearl Street in downtown Reading. The players, Brandon Anderson, Joel Champagne, Adam Comrie, Ethan Cox, Bryant Molle, and Denny Urban, helped install and paint all of the doors in the home, assisted in the construction of a staircase leading outside, and caulked all of the trim in the house. It is anticipated that the home, which is close to completion, is going to be purchased by a local family working with Habitat for Humanity of Berks County.
The Royals return to action at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania, tonight (Wednesday, December 5 @ 7:05 pm) when the reigning Kelly Cup Champion Florida Everblades make their only visit of the year to Reading. The first 1500 fans 21 years of age and older get a plastic pint glass courtesy of All-Star Distributing. Labatt Blue Draft is just $4.00 on Wednesday. The Game Night Broadcast kicks off at 6:35 pm on ESPN Radio (1240 am and 98.5 fm). Royals multi-game flex plans for the 2012-13 season presented by Steve Moyer Subaru are available at 610-898-7825 and through the Royals website: www.royalshockey.com.
