Tonight's Matchup: The San Francisco Bulls take on the Bakersfield Condors, tonight at the Cow Palace. This is the sixth of 12 meetings between these two Pacific Division rivals. It is the third of six meetings at the Cow Palace. The Bulls are 3-1-0-1 against Bakersfield this season. Their last contest was a 4-2 win by the Bulls in Bakersfield on November 20. Sacha Guimond and Peter Sivak recorded a goal and two assists each to lead the Bulls to victory. Thomas Heemskerk earned the win, stopping 16 shots.
The Bulls return home after going 0-2-1-0 on their recent three-game road trip. After losing in overtime on Thursday, 6-5, to the Las Vegas Wranglers, the Bulls dropped a pair of games in Utah against the Grizzlies. The Grizzlies took Saturday's contest, 3-2. Bryan Cameron broke a 2-2 tie in the third period. Dean Ouellet recorded a goal and an assist, while Daniil Tarasov picked up two assists. Justin Bowers failed to pick up a point, snapping the Bulls' season-long, nine-game point streak. Sivak also snapped his eight-game point streak.
The Bulls remain tied with the Colorado Eagles for fifth place in the Western Conference with 19 points. They also sit in third place in the Pacific Division.
The Condors come into tonight's action having snapped a six-game losing streak on Saturday with a 5-4 shootout win in Stockton. Parker Stanfield and Robby Dee led the way with a goal and an assist each.
Bakersfield sits in fifth place in the Pacific Division and in ninth place in the Western Conference. Levi Nelson leads Bakersfield with 15 points, while Stanfield paces the team with six goals. Scott Greenham leads the team with four wins in net.
Tonight is the first installment of Get a Pair Wednesdays at the Cow Palace. Hot dogs are 2-for-1.
