
Idaho's Robinson Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Rookie of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Idaho Steelheads goaltender Josh Robinson is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Rookie of the Month for November.
The 23-year-old went 6-0-0 with a 2.63 goals-against average and a save percentage of .928 in six appearances during the month, helping the Steelheads to an 8-3-1 record in November.
A native of Frankenmuth, Mich., Robinson made at least 29 saves in each of his six appearances in November, and ended the month with 35 or more saves in each of his last three starts - a career-high 44 saves in a 6-3 win against Las Vegas on Nov. 23, 36 saves in a 4-3 victory over Colorado on Nov. 28 and 35 saves in a 4-2 win against Colorado on Nov. 30.
Under contract to the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League, Robinson is third in the ECHL with a .930 save percentage, is tied for third with nine wins and is ninth with a 2.46 goals-against average. He was named the Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Oct. 21 after going 2-0-0 with a 1.50 goals-against average and a save percentage of .948 in two appearances.
Robinson spent the previous four seasons at Michigan Tech University. As a senior, he won 15 games, which was nine more wins than he had in his first three seasons combined, and were the most wins in a season for a Michigan Tech goaltender since 1992-93.
