WINNIPEG, MB - Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Charles Roberts, who continues to be one of the most elusive players in the CFL, has been named the Rogers CFL Offensive Player of the Week for his effort in the team's Week 17 win over the Calgary Stampeders.

Roberts rushed for a season-high 154 yards on 16 carries and scored a touchdown in the team's 27-13 win over the Stamps on Oct. 19 at Canad Inns Stadium in Winnipeg. He also had two receptions for five yards in that game.

The man known as 'Blink' is the CFL leader in yards from scrimmage this season with 1,737 yards and is currently second in the league in rushing with 1,379 yards.

Meanwhile, Bomber defensive tackle Doug Brown was a runner-up for Rogers Canadian Player of the Week honours. Brown collected two quarterback sacks and five defensive tackles in last week's win over Calgary.
