Greenville, SC: Andrew Rowe's three point night paved the way for the Road Warriors to collect the weekend-series win against South Carolina on Sunday night in a 4-3 shootout win.

Much like the night before, the game was scoreless headed into the second period. Both teams had a power play opportunity during the period but neither team was able to convert. The Stingrays posted ten shots in the first ten minutes but only registered one more shot during the remainder of the period. Greenville fired seven shots on net during that time segment but was outshot in the period 11-10.

South Carolina struck first with a power play goal from defenseman Drew Baker who scored his first ECHL goal. Peter Boyd and Igor Gongalsky assisted on the goal to give the Stingrays a 1-0 lead. Dale Mitchell extended the lead with a one-timer that beat goaltender Jeff Malcolm five-hole. Mitchell scored his 15th of the year with Baker collecting the assist on a cross-ice pass. The Road Warriors cut the Stingrays lead down to 2-1 with a goal from Andrew Rowe in the final four minutes of the period. The forward scored his 13th of the year on a shot that was initially saved by goaltender Max Strang but trickled past him and into the net. Kyle Jean assisted on the goal. Bretton Cameron tied the game at two with 14 seconds left in the second period. The forward scored his third of the year with assists given to Rowe and Ryan Hegarty.

Josh Nicholls gave the Road Warriors a 3-2 lead with a goal 2:32 into the third period. The rookie forward scored his seventh of the year with Rowe and Sam Noreau adding the assists. With the assist, Rowe tallied his third point of the game. South Carolina tied the game halfway through the period with a goal from Patrick Gaul. The forward scored his tenth of the year with Joe Lavin posting the assist. The goal forced overtime which South Carolina outshot the Road Warriors 6-1. With the high shot total and even a power play, the Stingrays could not score. During the shootout, Nicholls, Jean and Michael St. Croix scored for the Road Warriors. Malcolm only allowed a goal to Dale Mitchell in the shootout to secure the 4-3 win. Malcolm stopped 31 shots during the game to improve to a 8-5-2 record.
