Wranglers Downed by Condors, Winless Streak Hits Six

Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas - The Bakersfield Condors scored twice in the final five minutes of Sunday's game to take down the Las Vegas Wranglers by a final score of 3-1. The defeat extends Las Vegas' winless streak to six games, and pushes the Condor's win streak to four.
The evening started with a special rendition of the National Anthem from Blue Man Group, ending in a red, white and blue confetti burst at center ice. The energy seemed to carry over for the Wranglers as for the second straight night it was Greg Coburn (5) putting Las Vegas on the board first, a short-handed score assisted by Geoff Irwin (17) just 2:15 into the first period. The Condors would answer back at the 7:48 mark, a power-play goal scored by Chris Collins (10), assisted by Gary Steffes (13) and Collin Bowman (15), tying the game 1-1.
After a scoreless second period, it wasn't until late in the third that the deadlock would be broken, as Condors' forward Andrew Carroll scored with 4:35 to go to give Bakersfield a 2-1 lead. The goal, Carroll's sixth of the year, was assisted by Spencer Bennett (11) and Steffes (14), who grabbed his second assist of the night. Just before time expired, the Condors would add another on the empty net, as Collins (11) potted his second of the evening, an unassisted goal that iced the game, 3-1.
Next up for the Wranglers is a home-and-home against the Ontario Reign, starting Wednesday Feb. 12, in Ontario, CA. The two then travel back to Las Vegas for a game on Friday Feb.14, featuring a special free post-game concert with Jason D. Williams immediately after the final horn.
