WET WEDNESDAY / OLYMPICS NIGHT

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: Tonight the Cyclones look to put an end to their four-game losing skid as they close out a busy weekend against the Evansville IceMen. With the exception of a 7-0 blowout by the Cyclones, each game of the season series has been decided by a single goal. Cincinnati owns a 3-1 record in 2013-14 against the IceMen.

SCOUTING THE ICEMEN: Jeff Pyle's club continued their season-long slide last night against Elmira, falling by a 5-3 final score to run their losing streak to five. Jeremy Langlois has been Evansville's biggest offensive weapon, notching 38 (14 goals, 24 assists) tallies in 34 contests this year - including three goals and an assist against the Cyclones. Matt Schepke, who has been relatively quiet against Cincinnati this year, has rocketed to second on the IceMen scoring list; the fifth-year pro has 37 points (14 goals, 23 assists) in 43 games this season. Between the pipes, Mike Clemente has seen the bulk of the workload. The Brown University alum has amassed a 13-6-0-4 record with an 2.41 goals-against average this year, including a victory over Cincy. Garrett Bartus, who is winless in two tries against the Clones, is 5-5-3-1 with a 3.26 GAA.

LAST HEAD-TO-HEAD MEETING: DECEMBER 27, 2013: Josh McFadden's first game-winning goal of the season came just 34 seconds into overtime to lift the Cyclones past the IceMen by a 7-6 final score in front of 5,746 at Ford Center. Five different Cincinnati players recorded multi-point games in the win.

Into the Great White North: This week, the Cyclones continue a stretch of 11 consecutive games against the North Division. And based on track record, that could be a good thing; Cincy is 14-8-1 against Evansville, Fort Wayne, Kalamazoo and Toledo this season.

A Cincinnati Staple: Cyclones forward Dan Eves is the team's longest active tenured player. He is just two games away from passing Sheldon Gorski for sixth on the club's all-time games-played list. The sixth-year pro has 39 goals and 76 assists in a Cincinnati jersey.
