
Rivermen Recall Soares

Peoria Rivermen News Release
Peoria Rivermen General Manager of Hockey Operations Kevin McDonald announced that the team has recalled forward Josh Soares from the Alaska Aces of the ECHL today.
The 25-year-old Hamilton, Ontario native has appeared in 24 games with the Aces, notching 16 assists and 30 points in that span. An undrafted free agent, Soares spent four seasons at the University of Maine before turning pro with the Rivermen for a single game in 2006-07 with no points or penalty minutes.
The Rivermen will now take to the road for three straight games next week, beginning Wednesday in Chicago against the Wolves at 7 pm. Friday and Saturday the team will play a pair against the AHL's newest squad, the Lake Erie Monsters. Game time for the weekend set is 6:30 CST, with the pre-game show kicking off one-half hour before game time on your Home for Rivermen Hockey, 96.5 ESPN Radio.
