NORFOLK - Karri Ramo stopped 26 of 27 shots, but the Norfolk Admirals' (10-15-1-2) offense fell silent to the Philadelphia Phantoms (19-7-1-0) in a 1-0 loss on Saturday night at Norfolk Scope Arena.

Ramo kept the Phantoms off the board with 10 first period saves. The second period opened up with both teams fighting aggressively for the upper hand. Things were looking up with Norfolk on the power play midway through the stanza. However, Philadelphia's Darroll Powe stole the puck at his own blue line and bolted towards the Norfolk goal, scoring shorthanded at 10:08. The Phantoms went into the third period with a 1-0 lead.

The Admirals came out of the gates firing in the third period, out-shooting the Phantoms 13-6. But Norfolk was unable to beat Phantoms goaltender Scott Munroe for the equalizer. It was the first time Norfolk had been shut out at home since October 22, 2005, when Jamie Storr made 44 saves for the Phantoms in another 1-0 Norfolk loss.

Karri Ramo (27 shots, 26 saves) suffered the loss. Scott Munroe (25 shots, 25 saves) earned the victory.

The Admirals and Phantoms were both 0-7 on their power plays.
