Peoria Rivermen News Release

PEORIA, Ill. (March 12, 2009) - The Peoria Rivermen, American Hockey League affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, have announced their 2008-09 Clear Day roster. It is comprised of the maximum 20 players and two goalies.

Each Clear Day roster consists of a maximum of 22 players. According to AHL by-laws, only those players listed on a team's Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remainder of the 2008-09 AHL regular season and in the 2009 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension.

Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts, only after their respective junior or college seasons are complete.

Peoria's Clear Day roster consists of goaltenders Manny Legace and Ben Bishop; defensemen Danny Richmond, T.J. Fast, Ivan Vishnevskiy, Justin Fletcher, Steve Wagner, Jonas Junland, Alexander Hellstrom and Tyson Strachan; and forwards Trent Whitfield, Nicholas Drazenovic, Chris Porter, Yan Stastny, Jeff Cowan, Julian Talbot, Carl Corazzini, Cam Paddock, Curtis Fraser, Steve Regier, Jonathan Filewich, and Ryan Reaves.

A complete list of all AHL Clear Day rosters is available on theahl.com.

Sixteen of the AHL's 29 teams qualify for the 2009 Calder Cup Playoffs, the top four from each division. If the fifth-place team in the West Division finishes with more points than the fourth-place team in the North Division, it would cross over and compete in the North Division playoffs.
