Houston Aeros announce Clear Day roster

HOUSTON, Texas - The American Hockey League's (AHL) Houston Aeros have announced the club's Clear Day roster consisting of 22 players. The Clear Day roster has two goaltenders, seven defensemen and 13 forwards. The club also has six players "In Residence" for emergency situations.

Houston Aeros Clear Day roster:

Goaltenders: Barry Brust and Nolan Schaefer

Defensemen: Paul Albers, Justin Falk, Tomas Mojzis, Maxim Noreau, Brandon Rogers, John Scott and Clayton Stoner

Forwards: Matt Beaudoin, Robbie Earl, Danny Irmen, Krys Kolanos, Mitch Love, Corey Locke, Tony Hrkac, Morten Madsen, Peter Olvecky, Benoit Pouliot, Marco Rosa, Matt Kassian and Jesse Schultz

In Residence: G Anton Khudobin, D John Adams, D Dane Crowley, F John Lammers, F Bryan Lundbohm and F Jason Ryznar

According to AHL by-laws, only those 22 players (20 skaters and two goalies) listed on a team's Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remaining five weeks of the 2008-09 AHL regular season and in the 2009 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension. Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts, only after their respective junior or college seasons are complete.

The Aeros continue their Calder Cup playoff push this Friday, March 13 at Toyota Center when they host the Quad City Flames at 7:35 p.m. Houston is currently in second place in the West Division with 16 games remaining in the regular season.
